How to Show/Hide Case Title in app

In the previous post we have given details about How to Hide/Show Default Courts data.

In this post we’ll give details about Show/Hide Case Title field in app.

In the latest version release 1.0.30v or above. App will have option to Turn On/Off to Hide/Show Case Title field.

As per user’s request we have added this new Case Title field in app screens.

To show Case Title field, InLawyerDiary app, Goto Settings -> Click on General Settings. You can simply turn on this option as shown below

You will see Show Case Title -> Off/On switch

Case Title

Just click on Off/ On switch, to make it On. And then Click Save at the bottom.

That’s it. Now app will show Case Title field in Case List and Case Details screens.

You may turn it Off and Click Save button, to hide Case Title.

Note: In the latest app version 1.0.30v and above, by default this Setting is ON. So if any app user using not needed this field may simply to turn Off this option to hide Case Title field.

How to Hide/Show Default Courts data

In the LawyerDiary app, by default app pre-loads Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh Courts data. Just to give example of courts data that you can add in app.

In the latest version release 1.0.30v or above. App will have option to Turn On/Off to Hide/Show default Courts data.

To show default Courts, InLawyerDiary app, Goto Settings -> Click on General Settings. You can simply turn on this option as shown below

You will see Show Default Courts data -> Off/On switch

That’s it. Now app will show default Courts data.

You may turn it Off and Click Save button, to hide default Courts data.

Note: In the latest app version 1.0.30v and above, by default this Setting is Off. So if any app user using default Courts data, may need to turn On this option to see default courts. Or else simply add your Courts data.

How to Restore Lawyer Diary app data on new Phone

In previous post we have given details about How to Export Lawyer Diary app data.

You should install latest version 1.0.30v or above to use this feature.

After exporting data to Google Drive app or any online storage app. If you have installed that online storage app on new Phone. You can download it easily. Here we’re giving details about restoring backup file which is uploaded on Google drive app.

Step:1 Open Google Drive app on your new Phone.

Step:2 Click on left menu, and Click on Recent option

Step:3 You can see recently uploaded zip backup file. Now click on the more menu icon in Backup file as shown below.

Step:4 You’ll see download option. Click Download.

Step 5: You’ll need to download zip file to Internal storage. If its downloaded to Downloads folder, please follow below steps to move it to Internal Storage. Below shows file downloaded to Downloads folder

Step 6: Long press to select it, and Click Move to option in top right menu as shown below

Step 7: You have to select Phone’s internal storage as shown below.

Step 8: When you select Internal Storage, you’ll see below screen and here Click on Move. Now Zip file is moved to Internal storage.

Step 9: In Internal Storage if you already have LawyerDiary folder, rename it to LawyerDiarly_old. (To rename a folder you need Long press on LawyerDiary folder and in the top right menu you can see Rename option.)

Step 10: Now Long press on Zip file in the top Right menu you’ll see Unzip option. Click on Unzip it will unzip files.

Step 11: Now Rename Unzipped folder to LawyerDiary.

Step 12: Now open LawyerDiary app -> Goto Setting -> Click on Restore lost data

Step 13: Click on Restore button.

Your data will be restored. Please exit and restart the app. 🙂

How to Export Lawyer Diary app data

Hi All,

In this post we like to give details about Export Lawyer Diary app data.

You should install latest version 1.0.30v or above to use this feature.

In Lawyer Diary Goto Settings -> Select Export Backup Data

You will see this message dialog. Click on Ok button. (Generally app creates backup data file in and stores in LawyerDiary/Backup folder in InternalStorage. Please see this link to see how to check backup files.)

So when you click on Ok button app creates a zip file for LawyerDiary folder. And you’ll see below screen.

In the above screen you may select any preferred storage app. We suggest to select either Save to Drive or Add to Dropbox.

If you select Save to Drive, you’ll see this screen

Click on Save button. Your Lawyer diary folder will be uploaded to Google Drive app.

After uploading file, you can log in to your Gmail account in your laptop or pc.

And you can click on Drive app as shown below

When you click on Drive app icon, it’ll open Google drive website. In that website click on left side panel click on Recent. You’ll see latest uploaded folder there.

If you want to download this back up zip file on your PC (Though its showing as PDF file icon, its a Zip file). Right click on that file you’ll see download option. Click on Download.

Now if you open it you’ll see backup files. To open a zip file you may need to install WinZip or WinRar software on your PC.
